The wine cellar: The modern facilities of the wine cellar are equipped with the machinery necessary to achieve the objective of maximum quality: stainless steel tanks with the capacity of up to 5 thousand and 25 thousand of litres for a better fermentation, pneumatic presses of the latest design.
Wine growing: At present, the wine cellar maintains long-term agreements with local wine growers, owners of vines selected for their highest quality. However, our intention is to gradually integrate our own vineyards into this productive structure, located in eight hectares on the neighbouring slopes to the wine cellar.
The variety: Although the guarantee of origin includes varying types of grapes approved in the production of this wine (Treixadura, Caiño y Loureira), Castro Baroña only employs the albariño variety in its effort to achieve a wine which faithfully reflects the character of the Salnes area.
