Our recent “History” comes from an idea. Firstly, to create our own brand and subsequently our own wine cellar. Both are due to the development of an authentic brand with a very Galician name as the Albariño wine “CASTRO BAROÑA”.

In that concept we have combined the  best intentions and determination of  17 enterprising minds, all of them responsible  for many other  distribution companies situated throughout the geography of  old Galicia, who are seeking to produce a  distinguished,  singular wine  within the D.O “Albariño-Rías Baixas”

In 1996 saw the start of commercialising the brand “CASTRO BAROÑA”. In the year 1999, the “CASTRO BAROÑA.S.L.” society was formed. The project was approved in 2002 and the works began in March of 2003 In the month of September 2004 the first grapes were harvested.

In that way the new wine is born and a future illusion  named “CASTRO BAROÑA" is created.
